Yes, and they get their own separate networks. Production, press, registration, and payment traffic is isolated from guest access so that heavy guest usage can't degrade the systems your event actually runs on.

The design assumes it might. Failover paths and redundant hardware mean a single failure degrades performance rather than stopping the event, and with crew on site the fault is being worked before most attendees notice anything.
